sabadu guroo guru vaahu guramoukhi paaiaa.

From the Guru the disciple obtains the wondrous Word

chaylaa surati samaahu alakhu lakhaaiaa.

And as a disciple, merging his consciousness in it, comes face to face with imperceptible Lord.

gur chaylay veevaahu turee charhaaiaa.

Meeting the Guru, the disciple attains turia, the fourth and final stage of spiritual quietude.

ghir gMBIr AQwhu Ajru jrwieAw ]

gahari ganbheer adaahu ajaru jaraaiaa.

He holds unfathomable and serene Lord dearly in his heart.

sachaa bayparavaahu sachi samaaiaa.

Becoming carefree that true disciple merges himself in the truth.

pwiqswhw pwiqswhu hukmu clwieAw ]

paatisaahaa paatisaahu houkamu chalaaiaa.

And by becoming the king of kings he makes others subservient to him.

laubwlI drgwh Bwxw BwieAw ]

laoubaalee daragaahu bhaanaa bhaaiaa.

Only he loves the divine will of the Lord.

scI isPiq slwih Aipau pIAwieAw ]

sachee sidhati salaahu apiu peeaaiaa.

And only he has tasted the nectar in the form of praises of the Lord.
