mI-burd dIno idlm eIN cSim So^

mee-buradh dheeno dhilam een chasham shokha

This playful eye attracts and takes away my breath, heart and faith,

mI-kSd Az cwih Zm eIN cSim So^ ] 18 ] 1 ]

mee-kashadh az chaahi gham een chasham shokh || 18 || 1 ||

And it is the same lively eye that brings me out of my worries and sorrowful times. (18) (1)

kwkil au i&qnw zin Awlm Asq

kaakal o fithanaa zan aalam asatha

One of his locks of hair can create a calamity and disaster in the world,

raauanak afazaae jehaan een chasham shokh || 18 || 2 ||

And just one of his eyes can bless the whole world with prosperity. (18) (2)

khaak paae dhosatheeeae dhil buvadha

Goyaa is praying, Wish my heart becomes the dust of the feet of my beloved (Guru) - humility,

hwdIey rwih ^udw eIN cSim So^ ] 18 ] 3 ]

haadheeeae raahi khudhaa een chasham shokh || 18 || 3 ||

And my sportive eye steers my way towards the Akaalpurakh. (18) (3)

kai kunadh oo sooe gul naragas nigaaha

Anyone who has tasted the savor of that mirthful eye (of the Guru),

har k dheedhaa lazath aan chasham shokh || 18 || 4 ||

Will never care to look at the Narcissus flower again. (18) (4)

har k raa goyaa ghubaar dhil nishasatha

Goyaa says, Anyone who has had a glimpse of that sprightly eye (of the Guru) even once,

aan k dheedhaa yak nigaah aan chasham shokh || 18 || 5 ||

would have all his suspicions and illusions completely dispelled.? (18) (5)
